PREP STEP:
Lay the album on the paper. Trace across the top and bottom. Open the album, one cover at a time and trace, adding 5” to the sides. Repeat for the other side. Add ¼” to the top and bottom. Cut the pattern out. Put the pattern on the book and see if you like the way it fits. The top and bottom will be a little wide; these will be trimmed in the next step. If the cover is wider than you like, trim it. Cut the pattern from the Roc-lon® Multi-Purpose Cloth™.
CONSTRUCTION:
Place the cover on the album and fold the sides under to form the holders for the covers. Mark placement for embroidered name. Embroider the name on the cover. Place cover on the book again and check placement. Stitch the folded ends in place using a ¼” seam allowance. Trim close to the stitching and continue trimming across the top and bottom of the cover so that it is even.
PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS – IRON-ON TRANSFER:
Print the image onto the iron-on transfer following manufacturer’s instructions. Use only one sheet in the printer at a time for best results. Cut image out.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS – IRON-ON TRANSFER:
Remove the paper backing from the transfer. Center the image above the name on the front of the cover. Fuse the image following manufacturer’s instructions. Be sure and use the parchment paper manufacturer recommends when pressing transfer in place.
