CONSTRUCTION:

Cut the front and back pattern pieces from the Multi-Purpose Cloth™. Lay the ribbons out in a pleasing pattern to get the feel for the look that you want. Begin with the ribbons that will go vertically. Starting slightly off center, place one ribbon on top of the Multi-Purpose Cloth™. Use the razor blade and quilters rule on top of the cutting mat to cut slits in the fabric. Make the slits just a little bit wider than the width of the ribbon. Decide how much of the ribbon you want to show and cut slits accordingly. Weave the ribbon through the slits. Choose another ribbon and follow the same process to cutting and weaving. When all vertical ribbons are in place, begin with the horizontal. Weave the horizontal strips under and over the vertical ones, cutting slits where necessary. When all ribbons are in place, use the fabric glue to glue the beginning and ending pieces of the ribbon to the Multi-Purpose Cloth™. There is no right or wrong way to do this! When the front and back of the bag have been completed, follow the pattern instructions to finished the bag.
